This year there will be the 9th edition of the “Sea Festival”, a summer event not to be missed in Sant’Agnello, that will take place from 24th to 27th July 2008. The event has been created by the town of Sant’Agnello, in collaboration with the Provincial Administration of Naples, the Marine Reserve of Punta Campanella and the “Azienda di Soggiorno e Turismo” (Tourism Agency) of Sorrento and Sant’Agnello.

Thousands of visitors take part to this ritual event of the summer agenda of Sant’Agnello, and choose to live for four days the atmosphere of the “Sea Festival” dedicated to the culture, gastronomy, entertainment, to the peculiarities of the Sant’Agnello territory and naturally to the sea, absolute protagonist and source of life. In the Marinella District, among several stalls, you can choose to taste the typical products, attend congresses to talk about the safety of the environment, participate to walks and guided visits or visiting the craftsmanship shows and exhibitions.

The calendar of the four nights that honour the sea this year is full of really relevant music happenings: on July 24th, at 9.30 pm, the jazz concert with the extraordinary participation of Marco Zurzolo; on 25th, at 9.00 pm the performance of the Diecipercento Orchestra with special guest Alan de Luca; on 26th at 9.00 pm, the performance of the Ditirambo group with “Three hundred years of Neapolitan music” and on 28th, at 9.00 pm, the Matia Bazar performance. To close the event, at 11.30 pm, you can enjoy the suggestive fireworks on the sea show.

Colours and scents of the Sorrento land to offer a tribute to the sea. That sea that has given life to this land.
